New push-button can for indoor watering

A new push-button watering can for houseplant-lovers and flower arrangers has been launched. The Pinpoint® can, from the inventor of the
revolutionary NuCan, has already been snapped up by thousands of visitors to the Gardeners' World Live show and the World Association of Floral
Arrangers' conference.

The NuCan, marketed by Isle of Wight inventor Paul Bone, has already transformed outdoor and greenhouse watering. Now the Pinpoint®
brings efficiency and accuracy to watering in houses and conservatories.

Both Pinpoint® and NuCan deliver push-button watering without wasting a drop. Fill up either can, point the nozzle and nothing comes out
until thumb pressure is applied to the button on the handle. Then the patented valve system releases water exactly where it is needed at just the
right pressure.

Pinpoint® is the watering can plant-lovers will not want to hide away because of its elegant shape and stylish two-tone colouring. The can
is silvery blue with contrasting dark blue press-button, valve, curved spout and sliding lid - designed to limit spillage if the can should be knocked over.

The Pinpoint® can holds 1.5 litres (2.6 pints), is ergonomically designed for easy pouring and has a 28cm (11in) spout. The nozzle at the
tip of the spout is made from a robust rubber and plastic compound which is velvet-soft to the touch - and soft on any plants it happens to brush
against. The valve is made of the same compound to fit firmly and guarantee completely drip-free watering.

The can was launched to fulsome acclaim at two major June events, Gardeners' World Live and Floramundi, the World Association of Floral
Arrangers' show and conference in Glasgow. There experts praised its pinpoint accuracy for watering floral arrangements, bonsai and delicate
plants and avoiding leaf-scorch through water splashed on to the foliage.  They liked its sliding lid to avoid spills where children and pets are
around and said it was the best-looking watering can they had seen. The Pinpoint® was bought by delegates from Canada, New Zealand, South Africa,
the West Indies and other countries.

The original NuCan, also with press-button control, holds seven litres (12.3 pints) and comes with interchangeable nozzles 9cm and 25cm
(3½in and 10in) long. An extra 50cm (20in) nozzle is available separately.

The NuCan is ideal for all aspects of outdoor and greenhouse use: patio pots, tubs, hanging baskets, planting holes, seed drills, the backs
of borders and growing bags. Since the can wastes no water, refilling is reduced substantially, saving the trouble of walking back and forth to the
tap with aching arms and legs. Another attachment, a very fine rose, ensures that seed trays and pots can be watered gently without disturbing
compost or seedlings.

The Pinpoint® costs £8.99 (£9.99 by mail order) and the NuCan with attachments £12.99 (£13.99 mail order). For stockists or mail order, phone
the makers, NuCan, on 01983-822588.
