THE REVOLUTIONARY NuCan - new style, new control, NuCan!

The watering can that gardeners have been waiting for has reached them at last - and they are delighted.

The NuCan, with its unique press-button operation, replaces wasteful watering with precision control, saving time and effort as well as conserving water.

NuCan inventor Paul Lizant-Bone has been inundated with complimentary comments from happy gardeners..."This can waters exactly the amount I want, where I want it, without wasting a drop"..."It's perfect for watering young plants gently without flattening them or disturbing the roots"..."The NuCan is great for watering my conservatory and house plants without dribbling water on the carpet."

The NuCan's secret lies in a patented valve fitted to the nozzle. A cable links the valve to the handle where the button is easily operated by thumb pressure. Press the button gently and a trickle of water comes out of the spout, push a little harder and a fuller flow emerges. Release the button and the flow is cut-off instantly.

The NuCan comes with a specially-designed rose which ensures that seed trays and pots can be watered with a delicate 'rain' without disturbing trays of compost or seedlings. The can also has interchangeable spouts 9cm, 25cm and 50cm long (31/2in, 10in and 20in), making it ideal for irrigating patio pots, tubs, hanging baskets, planting holes, seed drills, the backs of borders, greenhouse plants such as tomatoes, and growing bags. The rose can be fitted direct to the NuCan nozzle or the to end of any of the longer spouts.

Since the NuCan wastes no spilled water, refilling is reduced substantially, saving gardeners the trouble of walking back and forth to the tap with aching arms and legs. The can also enables liquid treatments such as fertilisers, moss-killers and weed-killers to be applied accurately.

The NuCan is stylish, too, with slimline shape, superb balance and dark green finish. It holds seven litres (12.3 pints) and has an SSP of £12.99 including all attachments except the 50cm nozzle, which is sold separately for around £1.50.

As if all its gardening qualities were not enough, the NuCan is a boon when filling other vessels such as car windscreen-washer bottles and pets' water bowls.
